Expression of interest: UN General Assembly High-Level Week (UNGA81)

The Global Student Forum is excited to invite member organisations to express their interest in joining the GSF Delegation to the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81) High-Level Week in New York, 20-25 September 2026.

What is it?

The High-Level Week of the United Nations General Assembly is the most important annual gathering of world leaders, UN agencies, civil society, and international organisations. It is where major global priorities are debated, new initiatives are launched, and partnerships are formed to address the world's most pressing challenges.

For students, UNGA offers a unique opportunity to engage with decision-makers, contribute to global advocacy, and ensure that student perspectives are reflected in discussions on education, sustainable development, peace, human rights, climate action, and the future of international cooperation.

Why should GSF Member Organisations join?

Participating in the GSF Delegation provides an opportunity to bring student voices directly into one of the world's most influential political spaces. Delegates will have the chance to engage with governments, UN officials, civil society organisations, and other global stakeholders while strengthening international partnerships and advancing student-led advocacy.

UNGA is also an opportunity to learn how multilateral diplomacy works in practice, build lasting international networks, and represent students on issues that affect learners around the world.

What can GSF offer its member organisations?

As an accredited international organisation with strong engagement across the United Nations system, GSF can facilitate access to selected UN meetings and events during High-Level Week, subject to accreditation availability.

GSF also coordinates delegation activities, provides opportunities to engage with partner organisations and UN stakeholders, and supports delegates in connecting with the broader global student movement throughout the week.
